RISON - The Cleveland County Veterans Association is accepting donations to help pay for a glass case that will be used in the military item display being developed at the Hall-Morgan Veterans Building in Rison.

Local Animal Rescue Holding Dog Bath Fundraiser Saturday

RISON - Rison Paws for a Cause is partnering with Barks and Bubbles to host a Scrub-A-Pup Fundraiser this Saturday, July 5."Come support local pet rescue efforts and treat your furry friend at the same time," said Penny Pitchford, one of the organizers of Rison Paws for a Cause.

Bridal Shower July 6 for Roberts, Inman

RISON - Bethel No. 2 Missionary Baptist Church will be hosting a bridal shower Sunday, July 6 at 2 p.m. honoring Julie Roberts and Conner Inman in the Fellowship Hall. Everyone is invited to attend. They are registered at Target, Amazon, Walmart, and Crate & Barrel.

CDCAA Hosting Rental, Utility Assistance Info Meeting June 30

RISON - Central Delta Community Action Agency provides rental and utility assistance through the Community Services Block Grant and LIHEAP programs. CDCAA will host a public information meeting Monday, June 30 at 5:30 p.m. at our Rison office located at 200 Main Street, Rison, AR 71665.

Keith Gresham Retirement Party Planned for July 30

FORDYCE - There will be a retirement reception for Keith Gresham, the staff chair for the Dallas County Cooperative Extension Office and long-time agriculture/vo-tech teacher at Rison High School, form 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, at the Fordyce Civic Center.
