Weatherford averaged 14 yards per carried as he finished with 228 yards rushing and scored seven touchdowns. He scored on touchdown runs of 28, 37 and 35 yards in the third quarter.

MELON TIME FOR THE WILDCATS - Rison baseball/assistant football coach Chad Cope reaches for a piece of watermelon in a post-practice treat furnished by John Varnell and Donnie Wilson. This is the second consecutive year that the Wildcats have been treated to watermelon after summer workouts. All the Rison High School athletic teams as well as the band and cheer leaders were invited to attend.
