Mountain Pine Manages To Hold Off Woodlawn, 26-22

It was a classic case of, as Woodlawn Coach Zach Meyer put it, "taking two steps forward and then three steps back " last Friday night when his Bears visited the Mountain Pine Red Devils in a key eight-man South Conference matchup.

'Bugs Strike Quickly for TDs to Coast Past 'Cats, 42-7

RISON - Three turnovers in the first five minutes of the game created a nightmare start for Rison in its rivalry game with Fordyce last Friday night at George Walker Field of Champions.

WOODLAWN - If the Woodlawn Bears didn't turn the ball over, they scored. It was as simple as that last Friday night as they blew out the Dermott Rams, 70-20, in a dominating homecoming victory at the Carl Jones Sports Complex.

WOODLAWN - The Woodlawn School District will be celebrating 50 years of football during Senior Night, Nov. 3, at the Carl Jones Sports Complex. Former football players are invited to a meal during the junior high football game starting at 5 p.m.
