Lady Bears Drop Two Over Holidays

WOODLAWN - The Woodlawn Lady Bears dropped two games over the Christmas break, falling to the Mountain Pine Lady Red Devils, 55-47, on Dec. 19 and then to Haskell Harmony Grove, 51-40, on Dec. 28. Game details were not available at press time.

Bears Pick Up Two Wins at Tournament

DONALDSON - The Woodlawn Bears went 2-1 in the Holiday Hoops Tournament held last week at Ouachita High School in Donaldson. Woodlawn edged the Saline County Christian Home School team, 76-74, in the first round last Thursday before falling to Haskell Harmony Grove, 61-31, on Friday.

WOODLAWN - Sarah Melhorn hit four of Woodlawn's 11 3-pointers as the Lady Bears hammered the Junction City Lady Dragons, 66-33, in 6-2A conference action last Thursday at the Woodlawn Gym. The Lady Bears improved to 2-1 in conference play and 8-5 overall with the win.
