Westerman's Mobile Office In Co. Thursday

Fourth District Congressman Bruce Westerman will have his mobile office available for constituents in Cleveland County at two locations on Thursday, April 25. The mobile office will be located at the Cleveland County Courthouse in Rison 10 a.m. to noon, and at Kingsland City Hall from 1 to 3 p.m.

Rison Pole Plant Receives 2023 SHIELD Award

RISON - Stella-Jones Corporation's Rison plant was the recipient of the 2023 Division Shield Award. The plant hosted a luncheon Tuesday to commemorate the honor with its corporate team members across the nation. The Shield award recognizes Safety Health Improved Environment Leading our Decisions.

RISON - The Pioneer Village will hold two meetings this month leading up to the Pioneer Crafts Festival, President Marty Bowlin has announced.The Village volunteers will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 18 at the Pioneer Village.Anyone interested in assisting with the festival is invited to attend.

Lola Warren, an 8th grader at Rison Middle School, was named April student of the month for grades 7-9. She is the daughter of Lulu and Justin Perkins, and the granddaughter of Joy and Bill Robinson, and John and Gina Perkins. SHe has two brothers, Dax and Layne. Her activities and honors include drawing, writing, reading and painting.

RISON - Rison Elementary students recently had artists place in the 2024 Southeast Arkansas Regional Art Competition. Elizabeth Reed, art educator at Rison, selected 10 pieces of art to submit, and four placed in categories.Taylor Morris, sixth grade, placed second with Op Art.
