USDA Commodities To Be Distributed March 9 at Kingsland

KINGSLAND - The Open Door Community Pantry located at 650 Hwy. 97 in Kingsland will be handing out USDA commodities from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 9. Open Door Pantry usually distributes commodities on the second Saturday of each month. The pantry is an equal opportunity distributor.

KINGSLAND - One of the classes with the best attendance at Saturday’s Kingsland All School Reunion was the Class of 1961 with nine the 14 class members present. These two photos represent the members now compared to when they were in 8th grade at Kingsland School.

RISON - The Hop on Pop Blood Drive will bring a BloodMobile to the Green House Cottages of Southern Hills Thursday, March 7 from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., organizer Stacy Walz has announced.The drive has a goal of 15 donors at this stop.

Entries Open for April 6 BBQ Cook Off, Pageant

RISON - Rison Shine has announced the return of the Rison BBQ Cook Off and Pageant, set for Saturday, April 6 in Downtown Rison.Both events were formerly part of Rison in the Fall before interest and participation waned.
