RISON - Fewer than one in four registered voters in Cleveland County participated in last week's preferrential primary/ non-partisan judicial elections, according to the final but unofficial numbers released by the Cleveland County Clerk's office last week.

NEW EDINBURG - The New Edinburg Community Center will have a fish fry fundraiser starting at 5 p.m. Saturday, March 9, at the community center.Plates are $15 and includes fish, fries, baked beans, slaw, dessert and drink. Proceeds will help support and maintain the New Edinburg Community Center.

MONTICELLO, Ark. - The University of Arkansas at Monticello (UAM) named 299 students to the Dean's List and 214 students to the Chancellor's List for the fall 2023 semester, according to Keith Chambliss, UAM's registrar.

Mt. Olivet To Host Food Bank March 9

CALMER - Mount Olivet Methodist Church at Calmer will have its Food Bank from 7 to 9 a.m. Saturday, March 9, the church has announced. Mount Olivet is located at the Hwy. 63/ Hwy. 114 junction at Calmer. The food bank is held the second Saturday of each month.
