RISON - Rison Shine and the Pioneer Village will host their annual Easter Eggstravaganza Saturday, March 30 at the Pioneer Village, 200 Yaney Drive in Rison.The event will kick off at 9 a.m. with "Breakfast with the Bunny." Breakfast is $5 per plate and includes pancakes, sausage and juice.

Multiple States Represented At Homesteading Conference

RISON - The Arkansas Homesteading Conference saw another record-setting crowd this past Saturday as attendees from as far away as Colorado took in the educational event held at the Cleveland County Fairgrounds in Rison.

CCSB Is Moving Meeting to April 15

RISON - The Cleveland County School Board voted during its March meeting earlier this month to move the April board meeting from Monday, April 8, to Monday, April 15, due the activities associated with the solar eclipse.

Kingsland Mayor Says Water Dept. Will Need Partner

RISON - While the West Saline Water Users Association has yet to make a decision on a possible merger with the Kingsland and Outside Kingsland water systems, Kingsland Mayor Sharon Crosby said she feels the city will ultimately have to partner with another water provider in order to survive.

RISON - While Cleveland County will not be in the path of totality for the upcoming solar eclipse on April 8, it will experience a significant partial eclipse with anywhere from 97 to 99 percent of the sun covered by the moon.According to eclipse2024.

Mt. Zion Cemetery To Meet on April 6

RISON - Mt. Zion Cemetery at the Bowman Township will have its annual meeting at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 6, in the fellowship hall of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. All families with loved ones buried at the cemetery are encouraged to attend.
