Rison City Council Meeting Postponed

RISON - Mayor Charles Roberts announced Tuesday afternoon that the March meeting of the Rison City Council has been postponed until a later date.Roberts said he decided to reschedule the monthly meeting to allow more time for news regarding some American Rescue Plan grants to come in.

Taylor Murdock, an 8th grader at Rison Middle School, was named February student of the month for grades 7-9. Taylor is the daughter of Nick and Melissa Murdock. She is the granddaughter of Mark and Johnny Radcliff, the late Olen and Esther Murdock, and Eddie Rogers.
RHS QUIZ BOWL WINS REGIONAL - The Rison High School quiz bowl team placed first in regionals Saturday, March 2 in Parker's Chapel. They will advance to the state tournament next month. Dylan Dedman was the high points player for the tournament.
