Woodlawn Students Win at Rubik's Cube Competition

WOODLAWN - Woodlawn had some big winners at the SEARK Education Cooperative Rubik's Cubing Competition. They won first place in the team competition, solving 25 cubes in five minutes and 12 seconds.

Holiday Lights Open This Weekend

RISON - The Pioneer Village at Rison will host its annual holiday drive-thru light display Friday, Dec. 15 and Saturday, Dec. 16 from 6 to 8 p.m. each night. Admission is free, but donations are appreciated at the exit.

Christmas Events To Continue; Parade Sees Huge Participation

RISON - Christmas events will continue this week with Santa's annual visit to the New Edinburg Community Center while the Pioneer Village at Rison will be hosting its drivethrough light display. Both events are scheduled for this Friday and Saturday evening.

Herald Will Not Publish Paper Week of Dec. 25-29

RISON - The Cleveland County Herald will not be publishing a newspaper during the week of Dec. 25-29 due to the newspaper taking its annual Christmas break, editor/publisher Britt Talent has announced. The Herald office will be closed from noon Friday, Dec. 22, through Monday, Jan. 1, 2024.
