NEW RAMPS - Using leftover money from the FUN Park grant, Mayor Charles Roberts added new ramps to the restrooms at Veterans Park. Once the improvements are completed, he said he intends to open them for special occasions at the park.

Rison Approves Firm To Oversee Water, Sewer Work

RISON - The Rison City Council unanimously approved hiring Tolm Group of Morrilton during its regular monthly meeting Tuesday night to serve as the construction manager to oversee the renovations to the city's wastewater treatment plant as well as refurbishing both city water tanks.

Mt. Olivet To Host Food Bank Feb. 10

CALMER - Mount Olivet Methodist Church at Calmer will have its Food Bank from 7 to 9 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, the church has announced.  Mount Olivet is located at the Hwy. 63/ Hwy. 114 junction at Calmer. The food bank is held the second Saturday of each month.

USDA Commodities To Be Distributed Feb. 10 at Kingsland

KINGSLAND - The Open Door Community Pantry located at 650 Hwy. 97 in Kingsland will be handing out USDA commodities from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 10. Open Door Pantry usually distributes commodities on the second Saturday of each month. The pantry is an equal opportunity distributor.
