RISON - The Attwood/Smith Family Reunion has been set for July 7-9 at 280 Frye Loop in Rison. All members of Will and Betty (Brewer) Attwood and Coot and Annie (Flanigan) are invited to attend along with other friends and relatives. Friday night's event will start at 5 p.m.

CALMER - Mount Olivet Methodist Church at Calmer will have its Food Bank from 7 to 9 a.m. Saturday, July 8, the church has announced. Mount Olivet is located at the Hwy. 63/ Hwy. 114 junction at Calmer. The food bank is held the second Saturday of each month.

Governor Says No Plans To Close Marks Mill Park

RISON - Gov. Sarah Sanders’ office has announced that there are no plans to close Marks Mill State Park at New Edinburg nor any other state park after the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette uncovered an email that included Marks Mill as one of seven parks on an “eliminate” list.
