Kingsland Moves $30,000 To Fund Wastewater Fixes, Approves Resolution To Become 'Town in Black'

KINGSLAND - The Kingsland City Council unanimously approved a motion to transfer $30,000 from the city's general fund to the wastewater fund to pay for some major renovations that are currently underway at the city's wastewater treatment facility.

Two Killed in One-Car Wreck South of Rison

RISON - Two people died and another was injured in a one-car accident at about 6 p.m. Saturday along Hwy. 35 south of Rison, Arkansas State Police reported.

Rison Council Meeting Postponed

RISON - Mayor Charles Roberts has announced the Rison City Council meeting originally schedule for Tuesday, May 2, has been postponed to Monday, May 8, at 7 p.m.  

Kingsland Council To Meet Thursday

KINGSLAND - The Kingsland City Council has moved its regular monthly meeting to 6 p.m this Thursday, April 20, at Kingsland City Hall, Mayor Sharon Crosby has announced. The Kingsland City Council usually meets the fourth Thursday of each month.

Pierce, Palazzi To Wed May 27 at Tanglewood

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Pierce of Rison are pleased to announce the upcoming marriage of their daughter, Breanna Pierce, to Drake Palazzi, son of Mark Palazzi of Hot Springs and Angie and Bo Hudson of Rison. Drake is a 2014 graduate of Rison High School.

RISON - The Cleveland County Historical Society will reschedule its meeting Thursday, April 20 due to the projected forecast for inclement weather. A new date for the meeting will be announced soon.

Kingsland Water To Shut Off Service For Past-Due Bills

KINGSLAND - The Kingsland Water Department announced that it will begin shutting off water to customers with delinquent bills beginning this Monday, April 24. Payment can be made through the drop box at the Kingsland Water Office, a FBT Bank or by mailing it in.
