KINGSLAND - The Kingsland City Council took what should be the final step in allowing the land sale for a new Dollar General store to go forward after approving an ordinance closing certain alleys and streets following a public hearing Tuesday night at Kingsland City Hall.

RISON - Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, located on Hwy. 35 South, will open its Food Pantry Saturday, July 15 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. The church holds its food pantry the third Saturday of each month.
