Cane Creek NWTF Banquet Feb. 25

STAR CITY - The Cane Creek Longbeards Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation-Star City, Arkansas is hosting their 26th annual banquet and auction at 6 p.m. on Saturday, February 25, 2023. The event will be held at the Star City Civic Center with doors opening at 6 p.m.

Wood Workshop Next Week in Rison

RISON - The Cleveland County Extension Office will host a Woodworking Basics Workshop Tuesday, Feb. 21 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Pioneer Village, 200 Yaney Street in Rison. An additional workshop is planned for Wednesday, Feb. 22 from 8 a.m. to Noon if needed.

RISON - A fire believed to have been started by a car parked in garage completely destroyed a home on Hwy. 63 north of Woodlawn last Friday afternoon, Feb. 10, Woodlawn Fire Chief Owen Rushing reported. Rushing said the fire department received a call at about 1 p.m.
