County's Emergency Response in Storm Discussed at Meeting

RISON - Cleveland County's response to reach a man in the northwest part of the county who was having a medical issue and died at home during the height of last week's ice storm was addressed during the Cleveland County Quorum Court meeting Monday night.

Magnet Cove's Carmikle Hired As Rison Coach

RISON - Rison High School's search for a new head football coach ended Monday night when the Cleveland County School Board officially voted to hire Caleb Carmikle, formerly of Magnet Cove, to lead the Wildcat football program.

Rison City Council To Meet Monday

RISON - The Rison City Council's February meeting has been postponed to 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13, at Rison City Hall, Mayor Charles Roberts announced. The Rison City Council usually meets the first Tuesday of each month.

Spay/Neuter Clinic Set For March 2-4

HAMPTON - Rison Paws For A Cause is partnering with the Calhoun Animal Rescue Effort to promote the Ozark Mountain Spay/Neuter Clinic for cats and dogs, March 2-4 in Hampton. Dr. Joanna McManus, DVM, will host the clinic at the Hampton Fair Building. Spaces are limited.
