Woodlawn 4-H Club Meeting is Jan. 19

RISON - Parents and youth in Woodlawn and the surrounding area interested in joining the Woodlawn 4-H Community Club are invited to attend an informational and enrollment meeting at 5 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, at Center Missioinary Baptist Church on Hwyt. 63 at Rowell.

Extension Get Fit Strength Program Begins Thursday

RISON - The Cleveland County Cooperative Extension Service will be offering the Extension Get Fit adult strenght training program beginning at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church on Hwy. 35 south of Rison.

Squirrel Hunt Benefiting Local Jakes Day is Jan. 28

RISON - The Cleveland County "Cutters and Strutters" Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) will be conducting their annual fundraising event to help fund the chapter's "Jakes" Day. A competitive squirrel hunt will be conducted on the morning of Saturday, Jan. 28.

Rison 4-H Meeting Scheduled Jan.23

RISON - The Rison 4-H Community Club will be having an introductory program and enrollment meeting at 4:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 23, at the Rison School Cafeteria, the Cleveland County Cooperative Extension Office has announced.

County Democrats To Meet on Jan. 21

RISON - The Democratic Party of Cleveland County will have a meeting at noon Saturday, Jan. 21, starting at noon in the Hall-Morgan building, Jametta Harper, chairperson, has announced.

Bo Hudson Presented With DEA Credentials

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Arkansas - December 17, 2022 - As drug trafficking increased nationwide, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) recognized the need for cooperation and coordination of drug enforcement efforts with their state and local counterparts.

Macedonia Pantry Canceled for January

RISON - Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, located on Hwy. 35 South, has canceled its food pantry for the month of January. The church typically holds its food pantry the third Saturday of each month.
