4-H🍀 Garden Revived at Woodlawn School 🌱

WOODLAWN - The Woodlawn 6th Grade 4-H In-School Garden Revival was a success. “Thank you Master Gardeners and County Cultivators for sending us supplies to help,” said Cleveland County Extension Agent Austin Compton.

Dixon Recognized for Service

Woodlawn Superintendent Dr. Kevin Hancock (left) presented outgoing Woodlawn School Board President Shane Dixon with a plaque recognizing his 10 years of service on the school. Monday night’s school board meeting was his last as he decided not to seek re-election.

Johnny Cash Day Celebrated at Capitol on 94th Birthday

LITTLE ROCK - On his birthday, the State Capitol Rotunda served as the setting to honor the life and legacy of Arkansas’s own Johnny Cash on what would have been his 94th birthday. Cash was born at the Cross Roads Community near Kingland to Ray and Carrie Rivers Cash on February 26, 1932.

New Edinburg Community Center Hosts Annual BBQ Fundraiser Saturday

NEW EDINBURG - The New Edinburg Community Center will have its annual Spring Barbeque fundraiser starting at 5 p.m Saturday, March 14, at the community center.Plates are $15 and include pork, coleslaw, baked beans, roll, dessert and drink.
