RISON - Construction on the new gym at the Rison School campus could begin as early as June, Superintendent Davy King told the Cleveland County School Board during its regular monthly meeting Monday night.

RISON - More Christmas events continue this week across the county.Cleveland County Christmas ParadeRison Shine Community Development, Inc. will host the Cleveland County Christmas Parade this Thursday, Dec. 11 beginning at 7 p.m.

RISON - The Cleveland County Election Commission conducted its ballot draw for the March 3, 2026, primary election last Thurday, Dec. 4, outside the county clerk’s office at the Cleveland County Courthouse at Rison.

Care Fund Sees Number of Kids In Need Nearly Double in One Week

RISON - In one week, local charity organization Cleveland County Cares has seen an exponential growth in the number of children in need this Christmas season.“We’ve nearly doubled since last week,” said former DHS administrator Melinda McKnight who spearheads the charity’s efforts.
