Jones-Shelton Reunion This Saturday

STAVES - The Jones-Shelton Family Reunion will be held at noon Saturday, Oct. 4, at the Y Comm. Center on Hwy. 35 North in the Staves community. A potluck lunch will be served at noon.

Rison Methodist Outreach Selling Fried Pies Oct. 23-25

RISON - Rison United Methodist Church Outreach program will be selling fried pies Thursday, Oct. 23, Friday, Oct. 24 and Saturday, Oct. 25 during the Great South Arkansas Junk Hunt.Sales will begin at 8 a.m. each day.The church is located at 800 Main Street in Rison.

USDA Commodities To Be Distributed Oct. 11 at Kingsland

KINGSLAND - The Open Door Community Pantry located at 650 Hwy. 97 in Kingsland will be handing out USDA commodities from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 11.Open Door Pantry usually distributes commodities on the second Saturday of each month.

Story Time Begins Tuesday at Library

RISON - The Roy & Christine Sturgis Library of Cleveland County will begin Story Time for preschoolers Tuesday, Oct. 7 at 10:30 a.m.Any preschool child between the ages of 3 and 5 are welcome. Please call the library at (870) 325-7270 to register your child.

Rison Seeks Input on Events, Recreation Tonight

Rison Shine will host the fourth in a series of community meetings at 6 p.m. tonight (Monday, Sept. 29) at the Cleveland County Fairgrounds in Rison to get community on what type of events and recreation they might like to see in the community.
