RUMC Choir Christmas Cantata Encore Friday

RISON - The Rison United Methodist Church Choir will host an encore variation of their Christmas Cantata will be performed Friday, Dec. 20 at the Rison Shine and Pioneer Village's special Christmas Food Truck Friday beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Trash Pick-Up Will See No Changes During Christmas

RISON - There will be no changes in the regular trash pick-up schedule during the week of Christmas, County Treasurer Angie Kimsey has announced.Kimsey said the county's solid waste contractor, Big Smith, has announced they will run its regular schedule next week including Christmas Day.

The Rison High School Student of the Month for November for grades 7-9 is Brody Howard. Brody is in 8th grade and is the son of Kelsey Lephiew, Robert Lephiew, Tony Howard, and Marcie Howard. Brody’s activities include baseball, hunting, fishing, going to church, and spending time with family.

4-H Outdoor Skills Club

RISON - Members of the 4-H Outdoor Skills Club take target practice during their meeting last Thursday at the Pioneer Village in Rison.  In this class, club members went over gun safety and learned the firing line commands that will be part of the statewide 4-H Outdoor Skills competition next year.
