Kingsland VFD Buys New Turnouts

KINGSLAND - The Kingsland City Council approved the Kingsland Volunteer Fire Department’s purchase of eight sets of new turnouts for a cost of about $26,332 during its regular monthly meeting last Thursday, Jan. 22, at Kingsland City Hall.

Kingsland All-School Reunion Feb. 28

KINGSLAND - The Kingsland Alumni Association will be hosting the annual Kingsland All-School Reunion Saturday, February 28 at the school, beginning at 11 a.m.This years menu will be pizza, salad, cookies and drinks.All former students and teachers are invited to attend.

Winter Storm Brings Closures, But Few Outages

RISON - Cleveland County managed to avoid the massive power outages that stretched from Texas to North Carolina this past weekend as most of the frozen precipitation that fell locally came in the form of sleet or light snow rather than freezing rain.
