10  YEARS  AGOSEPTEMBER  24,  2014After receiving a tip from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Cleveland County Sheriff's Department apprehended a man in Rison last Thursday that is accused of being involved in a bank robbery at Benton in May.
GLIMPSES  FROM  THE  PAST - Last week we looked at contestants in one of the "Little Miss Cleveland County" pageants at a past county fair. For this week's glimpse, we move to older girls who were among the contestants in the 1964 "Miss Cleveland County" pageant. 10  YEARS  AGOSEPTEMBER  17,  2014Cleveland is among 25 counties in Arkansas that are included in an ash quarantine, voted into action Friday by the Arkansas State Plant Board to slow the spread of the Emeral Ash Borer. The quarantined items include firewood of all hardwood species.
