RHS Students of the Month: November

The Rison High School Student of the Month for November for grades 7-9 is Brody Howard. Brody is in 8th grade and is the son of Kelsey Lephiew, Robert Lephiew, Tony Howard, and Marcie Howard. Brody’s activities include baseball, hunting, fishing, going to church, and spending time with family.

4-H Outdoor Skills Club

RISON - Members of the 4-H Outdoor Skills Club take target practice during their meeting last Thursday at the Pioneer Village in Rison.  In this class, club members went over gun safety and learned the firing line commands that will be part of the statewide 4-H Outdoor Skills competition next year.
CREATING A MASTERPIECE - Greyson King intently works on his gingerbread house during The Call in Cleveland County’s Gingerbread House Workshop and Contest held Saturday during Christmas in the Village at the Pioneer Village in Rison. After completing their gingerbread houses, each house was entered in a contest sponsored by the Cleveland County Herald. King finished second in the 12 and Under division.

It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas in Rison

NEW EDINBURG - Re-New-ing Edinburg is once again going all out for Christmas this year as volunteers worked last Wednesday (Nov. 27) to put up lights and Christmas decorations throughout the community. This is the 21st year that New Edinburg has decorated the town for the holidays.
