EHC Clubs Donate To CDCAA

RISON - The "Y" EHC and the "Why Knots" EHC joined forces to design drawstring bags, subsequently donated to Michele Talent of the Central Delta Community Action Agency (CDCAA) for use in dispensing personal care and hygiene items.

Wildcats Headed To Harding

RISON - Four Rison High School students from the Class of 2025 were recently awarded scholarships to attend Harding University. Pictured left to right are: Ayden Laws, Thomas Wilson, Harding University Admissions Counselor Thando Mahlangu, Gracen White and Aaron Tilley. 
BASEball - All-State: Lawson Kidd (center), Noah Matheson (second from right); All-Conference:  (left to right) James Lee Jacobs, Andrew Couture,  Lawson Kidd, Noah Matheson and Ayden Laws. James Lee Jacobs was named 8-3A Conference Defensive Player of the Year while Noah Matheson had the lowest ERA of all pitchers in the 8-3A conference. Ayden Laws was named Offensive Player of the Year and Andrew Couture set a school record for hit by pitches with 21 for the season.

Rison Booster Club Installs New State Championship Sign in Town

RISON - The Rison Booster Club volunteers installed a new sign at the Hwy. 79 and Hwy. 35 intersection in Rison Tuesday, May 13. The Rison High School State Champions sign features years the football, softball, weightlifting, girls and boys track teams won the state championships.

Golf Tournament Donates $2,000 to Rison Baseball Team

RISON - The Bobby Lee Terry Memorial Golf Tournament, organized by Keden Shrum and Cordero Fuentes, presented a check for $2,000 to the Rison High School baseball program. The tournament held May 3 at Harbor Oaks Golf Course in Pine Bluff featured 17 teams, and a hole-in-one by Tim Fleeman.
