PRESCOTT - Rison’s Christian Reeves, a sophomore, won the high jump at the Class 3A Arkansas State Track Meet held last Tuesday at Prescott. As a result of his win, Reeves will competing in the Arkansas Meet of Champions today (Wednesday, May 14) at Searcy.Reeves cleared 6 ft.

ASHDOWN - Smackover came up with some clutch hits throughout the game as the Lady Buckaroos made the most of their opportunities for a 5-1 win over the Rison Lady Wildcats in the opening round of the Class 3A Region 4 Tournament at Ashdown last Thursday.
WILDCATS WIN 8-3A TITLE - Rison’s Lawson Kidd (right) slides safely into third before taking advantage of a throwing error to race home for the first run of the game in the Wildcat’s 4-0 victory over the McGehee Owls Friday at Wildcat Field. The victory gave the Wildcats their first conference title in 21 years as they head to the Region 4 Tournament this week at Ashdown as the 8-3A’s no. 1 seed.
