BOUND FOR THE ROCK! - The Woodlawn High School student section joins other fans in the closing moments of the Woodlawn Bears’ 68-44 victory over the Rector Cougars last Friday night at the Carl Jones Sports Complex to earn the school’s first-ever berth in a state football championship game.
ANOTHER BIG RUN - Woodlawn quartrerback Ethan Saeler turns up field for another big run while two Rector Cougars trail in pursuit during Friday night’s semifinal game. Saeler had a season-high 345 yards of rushing with five touchdowns. He had six runs for 20 yards or more.

WOODLAWN - Ethan Saeler rushed for 345 yards and scored five touchdowns as the Woodlawn Bears used a second-half surge to pull away from the Rector Cougars, 68-44, in an eight-man semifinal game Friday night at the Carl Jones Sports Complex.

WOODLAWN - Jude Roberts scored a school record 53 points as the Woodlawn Bears pulled away in the second half for a 78-62 win over the Bearden Bears in a non-conference clash last Thursday at the Woodlawn gym.

LONOKE - Rison’s Tee Miller made seven 3-pointers and scored 30 points but it wasn’t enough to overcome Class 4A Lonoke as the Lady Wildcats fell 59-45 to the Lady Jackrabbits last Tuesday at Lonoke.All seven of Miller’s treys came in the second half, two in the third and five in the fourth.
