Rison Senior Girls Cross Country won first place at the Southeast All Conference Championship district meet with a score of 32 points and average time of 24:00, Warren was second with a score of 48 and average time of 24:08.

The Woodlawn Senior Boys Cross Country Team won the 1A/2A South Regional Championship this past weekend at Moro Bay. This is on the heels of the team winning the 1-4A District Champions at the Southeast Arkansas All-Conference Championships on Saturday, Oct.25, in Monticello.

STOPPING CONIC - While Lake Village quarterback Roderick Conic, Jr. scorched Rison for 145 yards rushing and three touchdowns in the first half, the Wildcat defense did a better job of containing him over the final two quarters as he netted just 30 yards. RISON CROSS COUNTRY TEAM PLACES AT MEETS - Oct. 7, Kayla Jackson placed 20th with a time of 23:59 at Bryant Invitational. Oct. 21 the Rison team placed 2nd out of 1A-3A teams, Kayla placed 9th with a time of 22:59, and Jazlyn Price placed 14th out of 72 runners with a time of 23:49.

RISON - Halloween night seems to be the perfect setting for the annual Rison-Fordyce clash as it has already been a very strange season for the Wildcats.The two teams are set to kick off their 74th meeting at 7 p.m. Friday night at George Walker Field of Champions.
