The New Edinburg class of '57 and friends were blessed to have another gathering on June 22, 2024. John L. McClellan hosted the group again at The Bridge Creek Lodge in New Edinburg. Our first gathering was May 16, 2015, when we started making memories with twenty-four in attendance.

Community Foundation Sets Up Fordyce Fund

LITTLE ROCK – Arkansas Community Foundation (ARCF) has established the Fordyce Survivors Fund in response to the devastating mass shooting event on June 21 in Fordyce. All 100 percent of the donations to the fund will provide financial support for survivors of the shooting.

RISON - The second Food Truck Friday event will take place Friday, July 19, organizers within Rison Shine Community Development and the Pioneer Village have announced.The event is a joint venture between the two organizations under Kickstart Cleveland County.

Woman Found Guilty of Murder

RISON - Emily Brown, 32, of Broken Arrow, Okla., was found guilty of first degree murder and sentenced to 35 years in prison last Friday for the August 2022 shooting death of her ex-boyfriend, Christopher Miller, 38, of Greenwood. The shooting took place in the Macedonia community south of Rison.
