RISON - The Cleveland County Election Commission held its ballot draw for the 2024 preferrential primary and nonpartisan judicial election last Thursday at the Cleveland County Courthouse in Rison. The election will be held March 5, 2024.

Woodlawn Students Win at Rubik's Cube Competition

WOODLAWN - Woodlawn had some big winners at the SEARK Education Cooperative Rubik's Cubing Competition. They won first place in the team competition, solving 25 cubes in five minutes and 12 seconds.

Holiday Lights Open This Weekend

RISON - The Pioneer Village at Rison will host its annual holiday drive-thru light display Friday, Dec. 15 and Saturday, Dec. 16 from 6 to 8 p.m. each night. Admission is free, but donations are appreciated at the exit.

U.S. Senate Approves Electronic Duck Stamp

WASHINGTON – Congress is sending President Joe Biden legislation to sign into law championed by U.S. Senators John Boozman (R-AR), Joe Manchin (D-WV), Roger Marshall, M.D. (R-KS) and Angus King (I-ME) authorizing an electronic stamp for use through the entirety of a waterfowl hunting season.
