Woodlawn High Will Be Holding Junk Hunt Sale

WOODLAWN - Woodlawn High School's Retail Business students will be set up in the high school parking lot for the Junk Hunt sale on Thursday, Oct. 12, and Friday, Oct. 13, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day.

Kingsland Mayor Sharon Crosby poses with a set of paintings that were donated to the City of Kingsland by Resea Britt of Woodlawn, formerly of Kingsland. The paintings were created by Maggie Gavin Young when she was a sophomore in Mrs. Nicki Owen's art class at Woodlawn High School in 2016.

Johnson Crowned Grand Prairie Teen

STUTTGART - Cayla Johnson was recently crowned Miss Grand Prairie's Teen at the Grand Prairie Center in Stuttgart. She also earned the Overall Talent and Overall Evening Gown Award. Cayla is the 17 year old daughter of Clay and Aimee Johnson and is a Junior at Rison High School.

Macedonia MBC Revival Services Begin Sunday Night

RISON - Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, 7370 Hwy. 35 south of Rison, will be in revival services Sunday, Oct. 15, through Wednesday, Oct. 18, starting at 7 p.m. nightly. There will be a different speaker each night. Bro.

Family Sale To Be Held at Woodlawn Community Center

WOODLAWN - There will be a family sale of clothes, tools, farm equipment and other miscellaneous items beginning at 6 a.m. each day at the Woodlawn Community Center during the Great South Arkansas Junk Hunt to be held this Thursday through Saturday, Oct. 12-14.

New Digital Skills Training On Horizon

RISON - A new program that will help teach people how to use technology is expected to launch as soon as December as part of the Cleveland County Broadband Committee's effort to improve "digital skills" for those in the county who need it.
