BARTON - Rison assumed a three-touchdown lead before Barton had its first offensive snap of the game, as the Junior Wildcats romped to a 46-16 victory over the Junior Bears in a 63A Conference meeting at Frank McClellan Field Thursday night of last week.

Powder Puff Game Thursday Night at Rison

RISON - Rison High School will host a Powder Puff game Thursday, Nov. 2 at 7 p.m. The LadyCats will battle it out for a year's worth of bragging rights. Admission is $3 and gates open at 6 p.m. The Wildcats will be cheering them on from the sidelines.

KINGSLAND - Some of the people attending the Johnny & June’s Chili Supper and Music Event held last Saturday afternoon in Kingsland may have come across an unusual guest visiting the festival, a pot-bellied pig that has been nicknamed “Priscilla.
Despite threatening weather throughout the day Saturday afternoon, Kickstart Kingsland’s Johnny & June’s Chili Supper and Music Event still managed to bring in a good crowd. Those attending were treated to free concerts by regional bands throughout the day, and were able to take in a chili supper held inside Kingsland City Hall. This was the second year for the event.
