Rison Junior FBLA Students Place at District Conference

MONTICELLO - Rison Junior High School FBLA attended the District 3 Conference Wednesday, Feb. 4, on the campus of the University of Arkansas at Monticello. Many of the 7-8th grade students competed and qualified for state in various competitive events.

Brown Second Runner Up in Miss Ark. Tech Pageant

RUSSELLVILLE - Persistence paid off for Kenleigh Garner.Garner, a 21-year old Arkansas Tech University senior from Hot Springs, was crowned the 70th Miss Arkansas Tech during a scholarship pageant at Witherspoon Auditorium on Friday, Feb. 6.

Stuckey Named to All Star Cheer Squad

RISON - Senior Captain Mallory Stuckey for being named to the Arkansas High School Coaches Association East All Star Cheer Squad. Mallory was the only cheerleader chosen from the 8-3A East Conference.  Mallory has been a Wildcat cheerleader for 6 years.

Local Students on UAM Honors Lists

MONTICELLO — The University of Arkansas at Monticello (UAM) named 345 students to the  Dean’s  List  and 268 students to the Chancellor's List for the fall 2025 semester, according to Keith Chambliss, UAM’s registrar.
