Offices Will Close For New Year's Day

RISON - Federal, state and local government offices as well as the U.S. Post Office will be closed Thursday, Jan. 1, for the New Year's holiday. All will resume regular hours on Friday, Jan. 2.

If you have a Christmas Village, consider a Village Christmas Tree to display your collection. Carolyn Williams of Rison submitted this homemade Village Christmas Tree made by her husband Jonny. It’s about five feet tall and has a three-foot diameter.

State Offices Will Close Dec. 24-25

RISON - State government offices will be closed both Wednesday and Thursday, Dec. 24-25, in observance of the Christmas holiday. This includes the Revenue Office and the Department of Human Services.

County Courthouse Closed Dec. 24-5

RISON - The Cleveland County Courthouse will be closed Wednesday, Dec. 24, through Friday, Dec. 26, in observance of the Christmas holiday, the Cleveland County Judge’s office has announced. The courthouse will resume regular business hours on Monday, Dec. 29.
