RISON CLASS OF 1966 REUNITES - Members of the Rison High School graduating class of 1966 met at the Catfish Village, Star City. However not all Classmates were able to attend, they were missed as well as the deceased members.

The Rison High School Student of the Month for December for grades 7-9 is Cruz Gonzales. Cruz is the son of Matt and Ty Gonzales and Dustin and Lindsay Harris. He is in the seventh grade and is in FBLA and Junior Beta Club and plays football, basketball, and baseball. Congratulations, Cruz!

RISON - Cleveland County's Pageant Queens Cain Wilkins, Brynne Stover, and Alivia Nixon are partnering with The Green House Cottages of Southern Hills in Rison to help collect donations of fidgets. These items will go towards their occupational therapy and help make them stronger!

THORNTON - Cayce’s will open the Thornton Gym up Dec. 20 for a big Christmas Give Away. It is too late to turn in a child’s name for a bag, but come and shop Saturday Dec. 20, at the Cayce Gym in Thornton, Joannie Cayce has announced.

Santa Heading To New Edinburg Dec. 19-20

NEW EDINBURG - The New Edinburg Community Center will host Santa Claus for two nights this December, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Dec. 19 and 20.Re-New-ing Edinburg will provide cookies and hot cocoa and a special gift for attendees.
