Woodlawn senior pitcher Lillie Faye McWhorter was named the 2025 Gatorade Softball Player of the Year for Arkansas on Monday, recognizing her as the top high school softball player in the state regardless of classification. Gatorade Player of the Year is the top honor in high school sports, celebrating each state’s best high school athletes in each sport for their success on the field, in the classroom and in the community. McWhorter will be playing for the Arkansas Razorbacks next season.
