RISON - The Pioneer Village at Rison is looking to revive its Heritage Crafts Festival for Spring 2023. The event, which was a huge draw throughout the 70s, 80s and 90s, fizzled as crafting faded in that era.

Cummings Elected As County Judge

RISON - Republican Jimmy Cummings was elected as Cleveland County Judge during Tuesday’s general election, garnering 72 percent of the vote in his race with Democratic candidate Jimmy Dale Adair. The final vote margin was 2,035 to 795 margin.

RISON - Superintendent Craig Dupuy laid out five different scenarios for the Cleveland County School Board to consider regarding facilities during a special workshop held Monday night at the administration building in Rison.

One Killed, Six Injured In Hwy. 63 Accident

RISON - A head-on collision along Hwy. 63 in Bradley County Friday night resulted in the death of one Cleveland County resident and left six others injured, according to the Arkansas State Police. Leshia Sowheaver, 59, of Rison, died in the accident that took place at about 8:20 p.m. Friday, Nov.

County Approves Some Changes In Pay Schedule

RISON - The Cleveland County Quorum Court approved a recommendation from the Pay Committee to provide pay changes for some positions, and also decided to buy a new road grader rather than lease one.

Kinsmen Concert Nov. 19 at Kingsland
