Extension To Offer Class on Canning Salsa, Pickles Friday

RISON - The Cleveland County Cooperative Extension Office will be offering a Salsa and Pickles Canning Workshop from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 18, at Cleveland County Fairgrounds meeting room/kitchen in Rison. Note: This workshop has been rescheduled from its original date of Nov. 11.

RISON - Superintendent Craig Dupuy urged unity among the members of the Cleveland County School Board Monday night as they began discussing school facilities in the wake of its Nov. 7 workshop on that topic.

Wildcats Take On Bismarck; Bears Advance to Semifinals

RISON - The Rison Wildcats and Woodlawn Bears will both try to extend their seasons this Friday night as they head into second round of the state playoffs. Rison (9-0), the 6-3A conference champions, will host the Bismarck Lions, the no. 3 seed from the 4-3A conference, at 7 p.m.
