Extension To Offer Class on Canning Salsa, Pickles Nov. 18

RISON - The Cleveland County Cooperative Extension Office will be offering a Salsa and Pickles Canning Workshop from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 18, at Cleveland County Fairgrounds meeting room/kitchen in Rison. Note: This workshop has been rescheduled from its original date of Nov. 11.

Co. Courthouse Announces Veteran Holiday Closings

RISON - The Courthouse will be closed on Friday, Nov. 11 in observance of Veterans Day, Judge Melody Spears has announced. Normal business hours will resume Monday, Nov. 14. The Transfer Station will be closed Friday, Nov. 11 through Monday, Nov. 14. It will reopen on Tuesday, Nov. 15.

Voters To Elect New County Judge

RISON - Democrat Jimmy Dale Adair and Republican Jimmy Cummings will be going against one another this Tuesday to become Cleveland County Judge. The winner will begin a four-year term beginning Jan. 1, 2023.

General Election Set For Tuesday

RISON - Voters will decide a new county judge as well as several statewide positions during the 2022 general election that will be held this Tuesday, Nov. 8, at polling locations across the county. Polls will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
