Rison Properties Clean Up Day Set For This Saturday

RISON - In advance of the Rison in the Fall Festival, Rison Shine and Rison Mayor Charles Roberts have organized clean up days to clean up unkempt properties around town, pressure wash sidewalks and more.Anyone willing to help should meet at Veteran's Park at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 27.

County Fair Sees Record Exhibitors

RISON - The number of exhibitors entering various items in the Cleveland County Fair was up by about 50 percent, Fair Board President Roy Phillips reported following the completion of this year's event on Saturday.

Jimmy Adair Appointed County Judge

RISON - County Road Department foreman Jimmy Dale Adair was appointed by the Cleveland County Quorum Court to fill the unexpired term of the late County Judge Jimmy Cummings during a special meeting Monday night at the Hall-Morgan Veterans Building in Rison.

Rison Shine To Host Meeting on Events

RISON - Rison Shine will host the fourth in a series of community meetings at 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 29, at the Cleveland County Fairgrounds in Rison to address events and recreation in the city.

County Health Unit Hosting Free Flu Shot Clinic Thursday

RISON – Sept. 25, 2025, the Cleveland County Health Unit of the Arkansas Department of Health (ADH) will offer flu vaccinations at no charge at Cleveland County Health unit from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. People should bring their insurance cards with them to the flu vaccine clinic.
