Wildcats Look To Rebound As They Face Robinson JV

RISON - After suffering their first shutout loss in three years, the Rison Wildcats will be looking to rebound this Friday night when they make the trip to Little Rock to face the Joe T. Robinson Junior Varsity Senators in their final non-conference game of the season. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.
PRAYING FOR PEACE - The Woodlawn High School Fellowship of Chri stian Athletes (FCA) meet at the flagpole before school every Thursday for prayer. Last Thursday, Sept. 11, Lindsey Tooke requested through social media for parents and students to meet at 7:30 a.m. to pray for our country, our community and our leaders after the assassination of conservative pundit Charlie Kirk at the Utah Valley University and the school shooting in Colorado, as well as remembering the anniversary of 9-11.

CCSD To Hold Three Millage Meetings

RISON - The Cleveland County School Board decided Monday night to have three community meetings to provide information about the proposed 6-mill tax increase that will support construction of a new gym at the Rison School campus.

County Fair Sees Record Exhibitors, Rodeo Set for Friday, Saturday in Rison

RISON - The 2025 Cleveland County Fair is in full swing this week with activities leading up to a rodeo Friday and Saturday night.As of press time Wednesday, most exhibits are being judged with the exhibit hall expected to be open around 2 p.m. this afternoon.
