Jr. Warriors Knock Off Jr. Bears

WOODLAWN - A 17-7 second quarter by Ouachita provided just the cushion it needed as the Junior Warriors knocked off the Woodlawn Juniors Bears, 53-44, in the 8-2A season opener last Friday at Woodlawn.

Bears Beat Ouachita to Open 8-2A

WOODLAWN - Woodlawn overcame a sluggish start and the absence of a key contributor in the first half as the Bears surged ahead in the second quarter before pulling away for a 6146 win over the Ouachita Warriors in the 8-2A conference opener last Friday night at the Woodlawn Gym.

Defensive Stand Propels Tigers Past ‘Cats, 27-0

RISON - With only 97 seconds of ball possession the entire first half of last Friday night’s game, which included just three first downs and seven offensive snaps, those on the outside looking in would have thought there was no way visiting Charleston was even in the game with Rison.
Austin Howard (center), a third baseman/right-handed pitcher for the Woodlawn Bears baseball team, has signed a letter of intent to play baseball for the University of Arkansas Rich Mountain Community College at Mena. Austin is listed as a 6-2, 185-pound senior on the 2022-23 Woodlawn baseball roster. His parents, John and Stacy Howard, joined him at the signing ceremony held Tuesday afternoon at Woodlawn School.
