WOODLAWN - Peyton Wells held the Class 4A Arkadelphia Badgers to just one run in his pitching debut for Woodlawn Monday afternoon as the Bears picked up a 3-1 victory in the season opener for both teams.

RISON - After trailing by four runs early, Rison fought back to make it a one-run game before the Crossett Eagles used a couple of clutch two-out hits in the sixth to come away with 7-3 victory over the Wildcats Tuesday evening at Wildcat Field.

Bears Go Into Regional as No. 3 Seed After Falling to Fordyce in Semifinal

WOODLAWN - Despite sophomore Jude Roberts scoring 19 of his game-high 23 points in the second half, it wasn’t enough to get the Woodlawn Bears over the hump as they fell to the Fordyce Redbugs, 69-63, in the semifinals of the 8-2A District Tournament last Wednesday night at the Woodlawn Gym.

LITTLE ROCK - All tickets for the Arkansas Activities Association (AAA) regional and state basketball tournaments will be sold online only! No paper tickets will be sold at the gate. Those attending must show a digital ticket at the gate. Printed tickets will not be accepted.

Rauls Breaks More State Records at AHSPA Meet

MONTICELLO - Woodlawn’s Jude Rauls set yet another state record this past weekend and was declared the “Outstanding Lifter” for the 97-165 pound classifications at the Arkansas High School Powerlifting Association (AHSPA) regional meet held Saturday, Feb. 17, at Monticello High School.
