Izard County's Last Second TD Ends Bears' Season

BROCKWELL - Last Friday night's Class 2A eight-man semifinal against the Izard County Cougars could very well go down as perhaps Woodlawn's most memorable comeback as well as its most devastating loss.

Wildcats, Lions Tangle Again In State Playoffs Friday

RISON - Not depending on the big play by the offense and not allowing the big play by the defense could prove to be a determining factor in the outcome of the second round Class 3A state playoff game at George Walker Field of Champions Friday night, when the Rison Wildcats host the Bismarck Lions.

Slow-Starting Lady Bears Fall in Opener at Hamburg

HAMBURG - A slow start put the Woodlawn Lady Bears in a 14-point hole by the end of the first quarter as the Class 4A Hamburg Lady Lions managed to hold on in the second half for a 43-33 win in the Lady Bears' season opener Monday night at Hamburg.

Wildcats Take On Bismarck; Bears Advance to Semifinals

RISON - The Rison Wildcats and Woodlawn Bears will both try to extend their seasons this Friday night as they head into second round of the state playoffs. Rison (9-0), the 6-3A conference champions, will host the Bismarck Lions, the no. 3 seed from the 4-3A conference, at 7 p.m.
